In June 2013, a volunteer group of Spires owners formed the Firewise Committee.  The Committee focuses on gathering information, raising awareness for fires and wildfire mitigation activities as well as education on evacuation and emergency preparation. 

The members are:

The FWC organized a community-wide evacuation drill in October 2013, with numerous City agencies participating.  The results of the drill can be viewed below - a PDF.
