Re: The Fishers Canyon Open Space Development Plan
Dear Spires Drainage HOA Homeowners,
Fisher’s Canyon is a City open space of 343 acres that was purchased in 2021 and 2022 by the City and lies immediately west of the Spires development. The acreage surrounds two of our off-site Debris Flow Basins (DFBs) currently owned and maintained by the Spires HOA.
The City Parks Department recently held a citizen input meeting (April 24, 2024). The Spires Drainage Homeowners Association (Spires HOA) Board of Directors is reaching out to communicate the impacts on the Spires neighborhood.
Please view these important documents from the recent City meeting:

The possible community impacts include a new amenity for our area offset by the likelihood of increased traffic. Another key issue is the impact on the Spires HOA Debris Flow Basin (DFBs) and associated drainageways located in the Open Space.
The Spires Board encourages homeowners/residents to participate in the City outreach efforts as well as providing the Board with any feedback you may have. The Board will continue to provide feedback to the City as the development plan proceeds.
After reviewing the enclosed information sheets, please submit any comments to Derek Patterson by emailing Derek.Patterson@RowCal.com.
The Board is planning an informational meeting to provide any new updates and solicit input from our community members on June 25, 2024, at Fire Station 16 - 4980 Farthing Drive at 5:00 PM.
